Championing Every Child
Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, play, and thrive—regardless of where they fall on the autism spectrum.
Through our grantmaking program, we fund local nonprofits that provide essential programming for neurodiverse children and their families, ensuring that resources, activities, and support systems are accessible to those who need them most.
Why It Matters
For neurodiverse individuals, traditional learning and recreational activities often require thoughtful accommodations. Imagine teaching a child to swim when their instinct is to curl up into a ball in the water. Or encouraging participation in a group activity when they naturally retreat into their own world.
These challenges are real, but with the right programs and supports, these children can engage, grow, and thrive in ways that honor their unique strengths and needs.
That’s where we come in.
What We Fund
Thanks to proceeds from Beignet Fest and our generous donors, the Beignet Fest Foundation prioritizes funding for summer and after-school programs designed to support neurodiverse children. These grants help nonprofits offer services such as:
Our Impact
By funding these vital programs, we help create spaces where children with autism can learn, build confidence, and connect with their peers—all while giving families access to the tools and supports they need.
Beignet Fest may have started as a way to celebrate New Orleans’ favorite fried treat, but today, it’s about something much bigger: empowering children, strengthening families, and building a more inclusive community.
