Beignet Fest Announces Menu and Musical Lineup

French Market Coffee signs on as title sponsor

New Orleans, LA (August 14, 2018) – The 3rd Annual Beignet Fest presented by French Market®Coffee is set for Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 10AM – 6PM at the Festival Grounds at City Park. Festival organizers are proud to announce the full slate of food vendors and musical lineup along with event details.

“This year’s festival promises to be the biggest yet,” said Festival Founder and Event Producer Sherwood Collins. “We have more beignet dishes than ever before, bigger musical acts – and we also have the benefit of a title sponsor for 2018 with local favorite, French Market Coffee.”

“We joined Beignet Fest as a supporting sponsor for the event’s inaugural year in 2016,” said Eleanor Holstein, brand manager for French Market Coffee at Reily Foods Company. “It’s been a great partnership. As the festival grows in popularity and appeal, we think it makes a lot of sense for French Market Coffee to be the title sponsor. After all, nothing goes better with beignets than great, New Orleans coffee!”

Collins expects 20,000 to 25,000 people will attend the festival this year. For those looking for a few perks, Beignet Fest is offering a VIP Experience that includes a prime, private viewing space near the stage, complimentary beignets and beverages from Café du Monde from 10AM to 12PM and other perks throughout the day. Complete information and tickets for the VIP Experience are available on the Beignet Fest website.

Beignet Fest is a project of the Tres Doux Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit organization which makes grants to local autism programs annually based on the proceeds from the festival. The event and its foundation were created by Collins and his wife, Amy, inspired by their journey with their son, Liam, who is on the autism spectrum. To date, the Tres Doux Foundation has made more than $30,000 in grants to local nonprofits including YMCA of Greater New Orleans, Families Helping Families, the Autism Society of New Orleans and Ochsner Hospital for Children.

“The success of the Beignet Fest and the impact its fundraising has had on programs that serve children with developmental challenges is admirable,” said Thomas Harris, Jr., MHA, FACHE, vice president, Pediatrics at Ochsner Hospital for Children. “With grants from the Tres Doux Foundation, Ochsner Hospital for Children has expanded its ability to evaluate and diagnose children on the autism spectrum. And this fall, we will begin a series of parent training sessions to help families better understand and work with their children after diagnosis.”
